When we arrived we discovered pirates had left us a message in a bottle with clues to find some treasure. There was also a map to help us find the treasure.

We then ate the treasure! Which was brioche and hot chocolate!

We then learnt a new way to make a map! We made a circle from sticks and divided it into sections. We then each had a section and took steps away from our section. We took two steps, four steps, six steps, eight steps and the ten steps, each time stopping and picking up something we found. We learnt a lot about the different plants and trees in the forest from what we had collected.

After that we ate our pirate 'slop' which was actually really tasty!

We spent the rest of the day whittling sticks to make pencils, making 'pirate ship' dens, clay pirate ships, flags, catapults, swings, potions, camouflage paints and even leaf angels!
