Monday 11th June

Can you please ensure your children have a full PE kit in school, including a suitable change of footwear, plimsolls or trainers, as we are starting to practise PE outside in preparation for sports day.

Thank you

Could you please send you child into school next week with an empty plastic bottle as we are going to be making our own mini greenhouses. The children will then be growing flowers.

Thank you

Monday 19th February

Next Thursday is World Book Day and we invite the children to wear a costume that represents their favourite book character, if they would like to dress up. If they have the story book with their character in they can bring that too. Please note that costumes DO NOT have to be bought, you can create your own.

We look forward to seeing the children who want to dress up, in their costumes.

For your information we are also holding another reading for morning that day for parents who would like to share a story with their children between 9.00 and 9.15am.

Monday 29th January

Please remember that we have our reading morning this morning. It will be followed by a short meeting for Early Years parents about reading books and expectations with reading.

Friday 26th January

PE

please be aware that our PE day is currently Thursdays. We prefer that all children have their PE kit in school at all times. PE kit consists of a pair of navy/black PE shorts and a short sleeved plain round neck or polo tshirt in their house colour.

children do not currently need outdoor kit or PE shoes- we will advise further when this becomes necessary.

Wednesday 18th October.

Sound Books

Children will be bringing home sound books today. Each child will have the set of sounds they have been working on in school and the next set they will be covering. The pages are linked to the Read, Write Inc scheme which is our phonics scheme. Please practise sounds with the children at home. They can also practise writing each sound on the page. If you are unsure how we pronounce the sounds you can find further information by searching RWI on the internet.
