Year 2 – Present simple and present continuous
Last week in year 2 we practiced past simple sentences. I hope that it was helpful, and you’ve been using correct tenses in your speech and writing. This week we will look at present simple and present continuous in English.
We use the present simple to talk about routines – what you do every day for example.
We also add ‘es/s’ for ‘he/she/it’
We use the present continuous to talk about things you are doing now.
We use ‘ing’ to change the verb.
