# Thursday

Maths:

You will need the double and half game sheet, a dice, a small object for each person playing

This game is to support children’s quick recall of doubling and halving numbers.  This can also be linked to multiplying by 2 and dividing by 2.  We encourage you to play this game every day this week with your child.  If you have other family members at home maybe they could join in too.

You will need a tablet, computer, laptop or phone for today’s work.

You will need to login to your My Maths portal today.  Your lesson is Yr2 Introducing fractions.  This lesson involves lots of different games for the children to practise working with fractions.  When they’ve completed all 9 games please encourage them to complete the online homework independently.

There is no work to email in today for maths as your teacher will be able to see your online homework.

English:

You will need a book to read.

Today we would like you to spend time reding a book silently to yourself. You can choose a book from home or one from school. When you have finished silent reading find someone to talk about the story with. Discuss what you liked and disliked about the story, who your favourite characters are and what the story was about.

You will need a tablet, computer or phone/iPad, some lined paper writing pencil and a coloured pencil to mark/correct with.

You will need to have your equipment ready as you will be working alongside the video.

Play the hold a sentence video and follow the instructions as they happen.

When marking we will have a spelling focus this week. So remember to use your coloured pencil to tick if you spelt it correctly or make corrections if you didn’t.

## RWI- Hold a sentence: Part 4

Topic: Design Technology - Evaluation

You will need your Stickman puppet design sheet and your Stick Man puppet.

Today you will be completing the evaluation of your puppet. Read through the questions and try to think about the things that you found tricky or easy and what you like or dislike about your puppet. Think what you might do differently if you made it again.

Now you need to answer all of the questions in full sentences and with detailed answers.
