ENGLISH

You will need the ‘Verbs’ powerpoint and the ‘verbs’ worksheet.

Ask an adult to support you as you go through each slide of the Verbs powerpoint. Verbs are
action words. They describe what someone is doing. Identify the words which are verbs in the sentence examples that are given.

We would like you to then complete the verb worksheet! Firstly read the sentences and highlight/underline the word which is a verb in each one. Secondly, complete each of the sentences by filling in the gap with an appropriate verb from the selection provided. Lastly write two sentences of your own using one of the verb words provided.

Ask your adult to send your completed work into school using your class email address.

READING

You will need the ‘book review’ worksheet.

We would like you today to complete a book review of a story you have read or listened to recently. If you have that book at home or can access one of the teacher stories from the website then why not read/listen to it again before you start.

Complete the book review sheet by telling us briefly what the story is about, who the main characters are, where the story is set and what your favourite part of the story was. Please rate the story by giving it a number of stars between 1 and 5.

Ask your adult to send your completed work into school using your class email address.
