Focus sounds of the day: ss, zz, ck

Practise saying each of these sounds – ask an adult to say them and then you repeat each one back.

Practise writing each of these sounds one at a time.

Identify which sounds you would need to make the following words: hiss, mess, buzz, fizz, lock, back

Write these words down once you have identified the sounds you need.

Ask your adult to send your completed work into school using your class email address.

You will need the Phase 2 reading comprehension sheet

There is a short sentence alongside each of the four pictures. The sentence will give you some information about what needs adding to the picture. Use your sounds to sound out the words and read each sentence and then colour/draw what is asked.

Going back onto Education city, complete the Sleepy sheep worksheet that is linked to the activity from yesterday.

 

 

TOPIC

PE – Gingerbread man

Your PE today is split into 2 parts

Activity 1 – create a path/course from ‘the house where the gingerbread man was made to the river’. How many different ways can you think of to travel from the house to the river and back again – walk (forwards/backwards/sideways) run/jog, crawl, hop, jump, skip etc..

Activity 2 – create a river. Can you get from one side of the river to the other without touching the water? Find objects that could make stepping stones and balance on each one to get to the other side? Have the 'stones' close together to start with and then try again with them a bit further apart.
