Focus sounds of the day: ch, th, ng

Practise saying each of these sounds – ask an adult to say them and then you repeat each one back.

Practise writing each of these sounds one at a time.

Identify which sounds you would need to make the following words: chat, chip, thud, thin, bang, sing

Write these words down once you have identified the sounds you need.

Ask your adult to send your completed work into school using your class email address.

 

ENGLISH

You will need the label a gingerbread man sheet.

Look at the picture of the gingerbread man and discuss with an adult the different parts you can see. Can you identify the eye, mouth, nose, arm, leg?

The words you need for the labels are provided at the bottom of the sheet. Copy these words into the correct boxes around the gingerbread man to label the different parts.

Ask your adult to send your completed work into school using your class email address.

 

MATHS

(Children have worked on addition in the autumn term working within numbers to 10. We refer to this ‘+’ as the ‘add’ sign and this ‘=’ as the equals sign – please use this language when working with your child. Children can use their fingers or other small objects to help them work out the answers.)

Recap the story of the gingerbread man again – use the powerpoint story you watched yesterday if you need to help.

Sequence the 6 pictures provided from the gingerbread man story. Cut them out and put them in order in the boxes provided.
