Tuesday

Maths

You will need a tablet, computer, laptop or phone for today’s work.

You will need to login to your My Maths portal today.  Your lesson is Yr2 modelling fractions of amounts.  Work through the lesson with your child talking around any areas they are unsure about.   Then encourage them to complete the online homework independently.

There is no work to email in today for maths as your teacher will be able to see your online homework.

Remember to collect your booklet from school, for Friday, if you haven’t already.

English:

You will need an iPad/tablet/laptop, the Week 6 Spring poems PPT and the ‘Tuesday- Spring poem’ worksheet.

Have a look through pages 13-22 of the PPT.

Go for a walk around your garden or the local area with an adult. Have a think about what season we are in? Are we close to being in the next season? How do you know?

Read through the poems on the PPT.

Using the worksheet, think of lots of descriptive words to add to the thought shower. You may choose to include adjectives. You may choose to take ideas from the video that is on the page for ideas of things you may notice in springtime.

Once you have completed your thought shower, you will write a poem to describe springtime.

Ask your adult to send your completed work into school using your class email address.

Reading:

Shared reading for 20 minutes. This can either be a school book or a chosen book from home. You may choose any book and you and your adult can share the story/non-fiction text together.
