Wednesday

Wednesday

You will need the ‘halves and quarters fractions ‘sheet, ‘missing numbers’ sheet and a pencil.

You may need a tablet, computer, laptop or phone, the halving and quartering mats and some objects.

You may find it helpful to revisit the My Maths lesson from yesterday.  This will help your child to consolidate their understanding of fractions before moving on to today’s learning tasks.  (This is something we would do at school, as repetition is crucial to full understanding.)  Once you have done this ask your child to complete the ‘halves and quarters fraction’ sheet first.  They may need to use the halving and quartering mats to help them (these can be found under the ‘maths support’ tab on the remote learning page.)  Next encourage your child to complete the ‘missing numbers’ sheet.  Talk through the example with them and then encourage them to complete the rest of this sheet by themselves.

Send your completed sheets to your class email address.

Have you collected your mini-assessment booklet yet?

You will need a tablet, computer or phone/iPad. You will also need your All about me art from Monday’s art lesson

Using the PowerPoint that you have used over the past two days, you will learn about what an acrostic poem is. There is an example of an acrostic poem, using Miss Green’s name. You will then be using the sheet labelled ‘Wednesday-acrostic poem’, using your own name. You may think about things you like to eat and drink, something you enjoy doing at school or at home, your pets and family members.
