You will need the ‘reading comprehension’ worksheet and some coloured pens/pencils.

Read the sentences that go with each picture and follow the instructions to colour the pictures correctly.

Ask your adult to send your completed work into school using your class email address.

Share a book of your choosing with an adult. Spend 20 minutes reading and discussing what you have read.

You will need the ‘changing singular nouns to plural nouns’ sheet and the Plurals s and es powerpoint.

Ask an adult to support you to go through each slide in the powerpoint to learn about the rules for changing nouns from singular to plural. Plural means ‘more than one’ of something.

With most words you need to just add an ‘s’ to the end to make it a plural, however not all words follow this pattern. You are going to look at one rule today where you need to add ‘es’ to the end of some words. Find out which ones from the powerpoint.

Complete the worksheet by either adding ‘s’ or ‘es’ to the end of each word given in the list. Choose 4 of these words and put them into a sentence.

Ask your adult to send your completed work into school using your class email address.

You will need a tablet, computer, laptop or phone for today’s work.

Your child has a multiplication lesson assigned on MyMaths for today.  Use the school login details and then sign into their own portal. The lesson is Yr1 Introduction to multiplication.  Work through the lesson with your child and then encourage them to complete the online homework independently.  Remember we are assessing their maths skill so you may support them with the reading of instructions if necessary.

There is no work to email in today for maths as your teacher will be able to see your online homework.
