  • Jack's birthday gift to Priory Common

Jack and his sister celebrated their birthday recently with their friends and family. Instead of gifts Jack's parents asked for donations. They have shared the donations with the two schools that the two children attend. So a big thank you to Jack and his family for their donation to school of more than £600.

  • Move Up to New Classes

Thu 16 Jun 2016 Mrs Haskew

Children visited the classes they will be in from September today for the first time. We also welcomed our new Early Years children. There will be another 'Move Up' session on the 29th June.

The present Early Years class have a slip to give to parents telling them which class they will be in next year.

Year 1 classes will be moving together. Squirrels will move to Badgers and Rabbits will move to Owls.

  • Science

Wed 15 Jun 2016 Mrs Haskew

Thank you Mr Wilson for holding a Science meeting for parents and friends today.

Science has really flourished this year at Priory Common as we work towards our Silver Primary Science Quality Mark.

As well as our dedicated Science week, which included visits by a real Scientist, the children have progressed towards completing their own experiments allowing them to discover things for themselves.

    .

Science is taught at Priory Common as a dedicated subject but also linked to topic work. Complimentary to our Science development each year group now has their own dedicated outdoor learning space and this term children will be visiting Forest School. Children are taught many skills outside including

den making, weaving and bug hunting during outdoor learning.

As part of todays meeting parents and friends tried out one of our most popular experiments. If you attended please complete our Survey Monkey.
