  • A message from Maisies

    Mon 23 Mar 2020

    Dear All

Following the latest advice from the government Maisies have decided to close the store and trade online only at present. The store will be manned from 10.00am till 4pm Monday to Saturday so that customers who order online and if they wish to do so can collect from the store. They will need to knock on the door and their parcel will be brought to them. Further to this Maisies have also decided that regrettably they will now not attend any parents evenings that may take place. These decisions have not been taken lightly but the welfare of parents and staff at both the store and school's are their most important consideration.

If you are able to notify your parents, via your school's newsletters or other methods, regarding these arrangements we would be most grateful.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

    Kind Regards

    Brian Ralph

  • PRIORY COMMON SCHOOL CLOSURE

    Mon 23 Mar 2020

    SCHOOL CLOSURE

We have made the decision to close Priory Common School as most parents have decided to heed the advice given by the government over the weekend. This will help to keep our children, families and staff as safe as possible by reinforcing social distancing. We will be in touch with you on a regular basis via email and welfare phone calls.

Emergency contact can be made via the schools email: office@priory-common.milton-keynes.sch.uk

Please keep yourself and your family safe.

    Thu 28 Feb 2019

When using the website, are you aware you can change the language from English to your preferred language.

If using a laptop, on the homepage go to the bottom of the page and click on English and then you can make your changes.

If using a tablet, please ensure you have this in the landscape (lengthways) position. Again, go to the bottom of the page and make your changes as above.

If you are using a mobile, you will need to change your mobile settings to your preferred language and then any app or internet pages you open will be in your required language.

Any queries please contact the office.

    Many thanks

  • Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appreal

    Wed 27 Feb 2019

The school will be helping out Marie Curie with their Great Daffodil appeal by selling daffodil badges in the office.  Marie Curie have suggested a £1 donation for the badge, but any donation would be appreciated.

If you would like to donate and have a badge, your child can come to the office with their donation, or alternatively, you can pop in after dropping off or before collection of your child.

Some information on what your donation can do.

    • Marie Curie help more people living with a terminal illness to get the care and support they need.
    • £20 could pay for one hour of vital nursing care for someone living with a terminal illness in the comfort of their own home.
    • £90 could pay for half an evening’s care in a person’s home when they need it most.
    • £180 could provide nine hours of nursing support in someone's home through the night, bringing the expert care and comfort families need.

    Many thanks for your support.

  • Governor Competition

Wed 06 Feb 2019 Gill Cash

    Dear parents,

As you are aware we federated with Bradwell Village School and Romans Field at the start of this term. We now have one governing board across the federation. The board is named the Inclusive Learning Federation.

The governors would like to invite all children to take part in a competition to create a logo for the federation. The deadline for the competition is Friday 15th February. The winning design will be produced professionally. We ask that all entries are drawn/submitted on an A4 sheet and reflect the three schools.

Looking forward to seeing lots of designs,

    Kind regards

    Mrs G Cash
    Head of School

  • Parent Governor

    Fri 23 Nov 2018

    Dear Parent/Carer

Further to my message about the creation of a new Governing Board for the federation between Romans Field School, Priory Common School and Bradwell Village School, I am seeking nominations for parent governors (individuals can self-nominate). The deadline for these nominations is Wednesday 5th December. The first meeting of the new Board will be on Monday 17th December 2018 at 5.00pm at Bradwell Village School to enable us to establish the Board so that it is ready for a 1st January 2019 start.

If you wish to discuss this with me, please contact me by email: diane.elleman@romansfieldschool.org.uk or through the individual school’s email or by telephoning one of the school offices to make an appointment.

    Regards

  • Breakfast Club

    Wed 07 Nov 2018

It has been brought to my attention that BVCC will no longer be running a breakfast club from Monday 12th November 2018.

As a school, we are very aware of how parents/carers rely upon this provision and are therefore considering alternatives.

From Monday 12th November 2018, we will be offering places to both key stage 1 and key stage 2 pupils at Priory Common School. A programme of activities will be issued by the end of the week. These arrangements will be in place until the end of the Autumn Term, before which we will review the arrangements and inform parents and carers about our plans for the New Year.

In the first instance priory will be given to those children who currently attend the BVCC breakfast club. The cost will remain the same at £3.50 per session and sessions will run from 7:45am to 8:45am. The children will be escorted to their current schools.

Please contact the office if you would like your child to take up one of these new breakfast club places by Friday 9th November.

    Yours sincerely
    Diane Elleman

  • Home School Link Book

    Mon 05 Nov 2018

Today all the children will be bringing home a home school link book. We hope that this will help to improve the communication between home and school. We will check the books every morning for any comments or messages from you. At the same time we ask that you check them when the children bring them back home at the end of the day. We will be using these books to record any medical incidents, to let you know that prescribed medicine has been administered as well as recording significant achievements and any behaviour concerns.

It is not expected for comments to be made on a daily basis by staff or parents but we hope that this book will allow messages to be passed to and from school more effectively.

    Kind regards

    Mrs Cash
    Head of School

  • Parent Helpers

    Mon 15 Oct 2018

We are seeking keen and interested parents and carers who would like to support us in developing the children’s reading by listening to them read. We would also like to have parents and carers who would like to volunteer to support our staff working with the children in classrooms.

As a volunteer you will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS check which we will organise.

If you would like to discuss this further please contact the school office or email me: diane.elleman@romansfieldschool.org.uk
